Supplemental Benefits

With your Blue Cross Community MMAI (Medicare-Medicaid Plan)SM coverage, you may be able to get Supplemental Benefits at no extra cost to you. These are sometimes called Additional Benefits. To learn more, see the Member Handbook on the Forms & Documents page.

The Supplemental Benefits include:


Cell Phone

You may be able to get a cell phone if you have certain health conditions and do not have regular access to a phone.


Comprehensive Dental Services

You may be able to get a $800 allowance each year to help pay for dental services that would NOT otherwise be covered by Medicare or Medicaid. Learn more about the dental services covered by your plan.

Meal Benefits

Meal Benefit

You may be eligible to receive up to 14 home-delivered meals after being released from the hospital or nursing home.

Over-the-counter medicine

Over-the-Counter Drugs & Supplies, including personal health-related items

This Fitness Club Membership is designed with low-impact classes to help you get or stay fit.

Blue Cross Community MMAI may offer coverage for Virtual Visits benefits, provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and powered by MDLIVE.  With Virtual Visits, your appointment will be with an independently contracted, board-certified MDLIVE doctor or therapist for minor, non-emergency medical issues and behavioral health conditions by phone, mobile app or online video anytime, anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Talk to a doctor or therapist within minutes or schedule an appointment at a time that works best for you.
