    Develop a Quote

    Review Deadlines
    For quoting and enrollment deadlines, see page 2 of the Eligibility Checklist .

    Create a Quote
    Use the eSales "Quote a Group" function in your Blue Access for Producers℠ account . The quoting tool allows you to create quotes for our fully-insured and level-funded group plans.

    Get Help
    If your client has 5-50 employees, use the Quoting Tool User Guide  for Blue Balance Funded quoting steps. If your client has more than 50 employees, contact your BCBSIL Sales Executive or General Agent to learn more about your Blue Balance Funded quoting options.

    Get New Sales Forms

    Go to Form Finder . Click on Small Group from the left menu. Look for the following. Work with your general agent or sales account executive on the documentation necessary.

    Benefit Program Application (BPA)
    Employer application for group coverage.

    Employer Group Information (EGI)
    Submit required documentation on group size, MSP and COBRA status.

    Request For Proposal Form
    Get the RFP Request Form and complete it.

     

    Submit an Enrollment Request

    Smart Census Import Tool

    Use the Smart Census Import tool to upload member enrollment

    Log in to your account .

    Steps for Renewals: 5-50 Employees

    Find upcoming due dates for renewals, anniversary date, off-cycle and billing changes:

    Reminder
    If an existing group qualifies for a Blue Balance Funded proposal, the proposal will only be available in your producer account. It will not be posted to Blue Access for Employers. This allows producers an opportunity to adjust commissions prior to group discussions.

    Renewal Steps

    All Digital Experience
    All renewal steps are 100% digital via Docusign. This is true if your client is:

    • Renewing from Blue Balance Funded
    • Transitioning from fully insured

    Submit via Request Center
    Send renewal submissions via the Request Center at least 30 calendar days prior to the renewal date.

    OPTY ID
    Get the Opty ID for each renewal. It's in the upper-left corner of the renewal or proposal, just below the account number.

     

     

     

     

    Submit Membership Changes

    Membership Message Center
    Use the message center in Blue Access for Employers to submit membership applications, enroll new members in existing plans and update existing member information.

    Steps for Renewals: 51-150 Employees

    For renewing group clients with 51-150 employees, please contact your BCBSIL Account Executive. This is true if your client is:

    • Renewing from Blue Balance Funded
    • Transitioning from fully insured
