State-Based Exchange Plans: January Invoices and Payments

What you and your clients need to know:

  • Illinois is moving from HealthCare.gov to a state-based marketplace called Get Covered Illinois for 2026 Affordable Care Act (ACA) coverage.
  • Members should be on the lookout for their January 2026 invoices from BCBSIL, which will not be available until early December.
  • The January invoices will contain information on what steps the member will need to take on how to make payment.
  • Members who want to set up auto bill pay will need to wait until the January invoices are available and will need to make their initial payment as auto bill pay takes time to set up. Auto bill pay will then begin in February.
