BCBSIL Extends Contract with HSHS

We’re in active negotiations with Hospital Sisters Health System. The current hospital and medical group contracts were set to expire on Jan. 1, 2026. Because we’ve made considerable progress in the negotiations, both parties have agreed to extend the deadline. We’ll provide an update if that changes.

HSHS hospitals, doctors and other health care professionals are in these Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois provider networks:

  • PPO
  • Blue Choice PPO℠
  • HMO Illinois℠
  • Blue HPN®
  • Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (PPO)℠
  • Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (HMO)℠
  • Medicaid
