Supplemental Health Now Available on the 834 File Feed

Following our July announcement about expanded 834 file capabilities, we're excited to share that Supplemental Health products are now available through the joint 834 file feed for new eligible groups. 

What's new? Employers can now submit eligibility for the following products through a single 834 file: 

• Medical 
• BlueCare Dental^℠
• BlueCare Vision^℠
• Supplemental Health (Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity) 

 This enhancement is available for new Medical groups who have 151 enrolled employees and Ancillary coverage with effective dates of Nov. 1 or later. 

Why this matters: Adding Supplemental Health products to the joint 834 feed gives employers a simpler way to manage eligibility across their benefits portfolio.

What else you should know: 

• To support joint eligibility, Critical Illness is now available with four-tier rates (Employee Only; Employee + Spouse; Employee + Child; Employee + Family). 
• This means all our Supplemental Health products (Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity) can now be included in the combined file feed structure.
