What’s new: We are rolling out welcome and onboarding communications for both new and returning Medicare Advantage members to support a smooth start to the 2026 plan year.
Who’s included:
- New members with a Jan. 1, 2026, plan effective date (and ongoing SEP/IEP enrollments).
- Renewing MAPD members continuing coverage into 2026.
What members will receive:
- Welcome kits are mailing to new members with step-by-step information on how to use their benefits, access care, set up their Blue Access for MembersSM online account and more. Get a sample .
- Member appreciation and benefits overview letters are mailing to renewing members to thank them for staying with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, reduce anxiety around the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) and direct them to BAMSM to manage coverage, payments and benefits online. Get a sample .
What you should know: These communications are informational in nature and designed to help members feel confident about using their plan. No action is required from you at this time.
