Blue Cross MedicareRx (PDP) has contracts with pharmacies nationwide that equal or exceed the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services requirements for pharmacy access. To get benefits, you must use network pharmacies or mail-order service, except in emergencies.
Blue Cross MedicareRx also has a preferred network of pharmacies that you may use to receive plan benefits at a lower copay than other standard network pharmacies.

Preferred Network Pharmacies
Blue Cross MedicareRx has formed a preferred network of pharmacies that you may use to receive plan benefits at a lower copay than other standard network pharmacies. Preferred network pharmacies include Health Mart Atlas independent pharmacies, Jewel-Osco, Kroger, Mariano’s and Walgreens. Other pharmacies are available in our network.
Lower your prescription copays by choosing preferred network pharmacies and convenient mail-order service.
In addition to network pharmacies, you can use AllianceRx Walgreens Prime. It’s a mail-order service that offers:
- Three ways to order refills: online, by phone or through the mail
- Up to a 90-day supply of medications at one time
- Notifications when your order is received and when your prescriptions are sent (by email or over the phone, whichever you prefer)
Covered drugs are available at out-of-network pharmacies in emergency or unusual circumstances and for non-routine access to covered Part D drugs (illness while traveling outside the plan’s service area where there is no network pharmacy, for example). For more information on these special circumstances for out-of-network coverage and/or what pharmacies may be available to you, please contact us.
