Medicare must approve your enrollment before you are officially a member. This generally takes about 10 business days.
Within 10 days of receiving your enrollment form, we’ll send you an acknowledgement letter. After your enrollment is approved by Medicare, you’ll get a confirmation letter. Your member ID card will be mailed next.
You'll get a welcome kit in the mail a couple of weeks after you receive your member ID card that includes the formulary, Evidence of Coverage and other helpful information.
We will call to welcome you to the plan. We’d like to know if you have questions about your benefits or if you have special needs we should know about. We might also ask you a few basic health questions, help you set up your Annual Wellness Exam, and talk more about the Rewards Program.
If you haven't already, use the Provider Finder to choose a primary care provider (PCP) who is in your plan's network. Set up your Annual Wellness Visit with your provider once your coverage is active.

A Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan is offered for a full year at a time. Each year, the plan is reevaluated to determine if it will be extended for another year. If the Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan is not offered the following year, you will not lose Medicare coverage.
