Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois offers individual health insurance at three metallic levels of coverage to fit your needs.

Gold

Gold plans are for you if you:

  • Have a spouse and/or children on your health care plan, or want to grow your family soon
  • Prefer to have lower out-of-pocket expenses but a higher monthly payment
Silver

Silver plans are for you if you:

  • Have regular medical needs, like 1 or 2 doctor visits a year
  • Want to have a balance between monthly payments and out-of-pocket costs
  • Have a spouse and/or children on your health care plan
Bronze

Bronze plans are for you if you:

  • Don’t have health concerns or any prescription medicines
  • Would rather have a low monthly payment
  • Don’t need to add a spouse or children to your plan
