Care Van® Program
For 30 years, our fleet of Care Vans has canvased the state, partnering with municipal and county health departments to build healthy communities through basic services, educational outreach and health promotion.
The Care Vans bring public health services such as no cost immunizations, dental sealants and health literacy. The vans visit schools, churches, parks, shopping centers, public housing, community events and other locations. They conduct immunization outreach clinics in the communities where at-risk families live and work.
Our 25-year partnership with the Chicago Department of Public Health, as well as our partnership with the Illinois Department of Public Health has allowed us to have 4 Care Vans in service that reach communities across Illinois. In 2019, our Care Vans provided more than 10,000 immunizations and over 13,000 in other services in Chicago, Champaign-Urbana, Peoria, Madison County and East St. Louis.
