If you are enrolled in a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) plan*, you now have access to Member Rewards.

Did you know that prices for the same quality medical services can differ by thousands of dollars within the same region and health plan network?

Member Rewards, administered by Sapphire Digital1, offers cash rewards for choosing high-quality, lower-cost providers available through the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) network. Combined with Provider Finder®, our nationwide database of independently contracted health care providers, Member Rewards can help you:

  • Compare costs and quality for numerous procedures
  • Estimate out-of-pocket costs
  • Earn cash while shopping for care
  • Save money and make the most efficient use of your health care benefits
  • Consider treatment decisions with your doctors

How Does It Work?

  • When a doctor recommends treatment, call a Health Advocate, or log in to Blue Access for MembersSM
  • Click on the Doctors and Hospitals tab, then on Find a Doctor or Hospital
  • Select "Shop for Procedures" in the Member Rewards box to start your search
  • Use the Provider Finder to find your procedure
  • Choose a Member Rewards eligible location, and you may earn a cash reward
  • Complete your procedure and, once verified, you will receive a check within 4 to 6 weeks

To get started, call your Health Advocate at 1-800-537-9765 or shop online using the Provider Finder tool. Either way, you could get cash just for being a smart shopper.

The member rewards program from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. What's member awards? All I did was use Provider Finder. It helps me compare procedure costs and I found a great doctor at a lower cost nearby. Even got cash rewards to pay for that. Nice hit Lilly. Whoa you sure can get a lot with member rewards tell me about it We really need to use member rewards.
