If you need assistance with commercial claims, we offer several self-service tools through Availity® Essentials that can help:
Claim Status: Obtain the status of a claim and initiate the Claim Reconsideration tool with the Claim Status tool, located in the Claims & Payment menu in Availity Essentials.
Message This Payer: Send secure messages to us for claim management questions.
Claim Reconsideration: Electronically submit claim reconsiderations for situational finalized claim denials using the Availity Essentials Dispute Claim capability.
Claim Inquiry Resolution: Submit inquiries related to high-dollar, pre-pay review requests for most out-of-area and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois claims.
