Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois Recommended Once Again for State’s Medicaid Managed Care Program

As one of six Managed Care Organizations selected for the HealthChoice Illinois contract, BCBSIL will continue offering our Blue Cross Community Health Plans^SM to Medicaid members. 

We’ve participated in the state’s Medicaid program since 2014 and currently serve 700,000 members. Enrollment for new members is expected to begin later this year with coverage expected to start Jan. 1, 2027.

Our goal is to improve our members’ overall health by eliminating barriers to care and focusing on the health needs of all Illinoisians.”
