Call for Preservice Requests for Applied Behavior Analysis

Effective April 2026, to initiate a preservice request for behavioral health applied behavior analysis, you must call our customer service number on the member’s ID card. Forms will no longer be the primary method to process these requests.

When you call, a customer service representative will guide you through the request intake process. A clinician will follow up with you for telephonic clinical review. 

This change is intended to streamline request intakes and support consistent and timely processing. 

Remember to check eligibility and benefits through Availity® Essentials or your preferred vendor. 

This step helps confirm if prior authorization is required for a specific service and member. You’ll also be directed to the appropriate utilization management vendor, if applicable, to submit your request for review.
