We recently updated our Medicaid Provider Dispute Process Overview to reflect the following changes, which were effective Aug. 1, 2025.
Unique tracking identifier format change for BCCHPSM: Per the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, the unique tracking ID for Blue Cross Community Health PlansSM was transitioned to a 9-digit format. The assigned unique tracking ID can be used to submit complaints regarding claims to HFS. The format for the unique tracking ID issued for Blue Cross Community MMAI (Medicare-Medicaid Plan)SM remains unchanged. Refer to the overview for more information.
New fax number: The fax number for submitting claim disputes for BCCHP was changed to 855-590-5690. The correct fax number appears on the form used for such requests. The previous fax number will be discontinued effective as of Dec. 31, 2025. Disputes submitted after this date to the incorrect number will not be accepted.
