At-Home Testing
If you have coverage under a Boeing-sponsored BCBSIL plan, we will be covering FDA-approved over-the-counter COVID-19 at-home tests through your Prime Therapeutics® pharmacy benefits.
- If you aren’t sure if a test kit is FDA-approved, ask your pharmacist for help.
- Up to eight tests every rolling 30 days per member will be covered. (For example, you can purchase four boxes that include two over-the-counter COVID-19 tests.) Your cost will be determined by where your FDA-authorized tests are purchased.
- Tests purchased from a pharmacy in Prime's network, will be at no cost to you if the claim is submitted electronically.
- If a network pharmacy can’t submit your claim electronically, you can access a prescription claim form to file for reimbursement.
- Tests purchased from an out-of-network pharmacy or as a retail purchase (i.e. purchased from Amazon.com or at a retail checkout line at Walgreens instead of from their pharmacy), will be reimbursed after you submit a prescription claim form to Prime.
- Over-the-counter tests for things like return to work or school, travel and recreational event requirements may not be covered.

- Testing under the medical plan are covered at 100% after deductible
- Over-the-counter test kits purchased at pharmacy counter are covered at 100% after deductible
