Primary Nurse Program
Registered nurses and licensed social workers help an average of 1,000 Boeing members a month
If you’re living every day with ongoing health concerns, the Primary Nurse program may help.
A primary nurse at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois will:
- Create a member-focused Plan of Care, helping you achieve your health care goals
- Help you and your family understand medications and their possible side effects
- Coordinate services for acute care, nursing, home care, and long-term care before and after a procedure
- Work with your doctor and other caregivers and connect you with additional health and wellness resources available to you through your employer
Just for Medicare Members
Medicare-eligible retirees covered under the Traditional or Basic Indemnity Plans have access to social workers ready to help you and your caregivers understand your Medicare benefits.
Connect with a Cancer Specialist
Cancer can be a scary word. BCBSIL cancer nurses want to make it a little less scary. They can help you understand your care options and your health benefits. And they’ll be there to support you throughout your journey, from finding a provider through treatment and beyond.
