Your benefit options are depend on where you reside. Log on to Exelon HR Services  or call 1-877-739-3566 for more information.

Plan Benefits

The Participating Provider Option (PPO) is a group of doctors, hospitals and other health care professionals who agree to participate in Blue Cross and Blue Shield's PPO networks*. With the PPO and PPO+HSA, you do not have to select a personal doctor to provide or coordinate your care.

An Exclusive Provider Organization or EPO is a medical plan that only offers in-network coverage. There is no benefit coverage for care obtained outside the network except in emergency situations. This plan does not require you to select a Primary Care Physician to provide or coordinate your care.

In-Network Care
When you enroll in a BCBSIL medical plan, you can visit any PPO contracting doctor and hospital and receive in-network benefits.

Out-of-Network Care
You may visit any doctor, hospital or ancillary provider outside of the PPO network, but when you do, your out-of-network benefits will be lower and you will have to meet an out-of-network benefit plan year deductible.

Getting Help Has Never Been Easier – Now You Have a Benefits Value Advisor

Your plan features Benefits Value Advisors (BVA) to help you manage all aspects of your health care. No matter where you are in life or what health concerns you or your covered dependents may have, a BVA will support you along the way.

Connect with an advisor who listens, knows your situation, and can help you:

  • Understand your benefits and options for care
  • Connect with a clinician if you need help with a medical issue
  • Shop to find doctors and services that can save you money
  • Get cost estimates for services or procedures
  • Schedule your doctor or procedure appointments
  • With preauthorization for health services

Plus, BVAs can help you earn cash with Member Rewards. You could get cash back by shopping for lower cost medical procedures. You can contact a BVA or shop online using the Provider Finder tool. Either way, you could get cash just for being a smart shopper.

It’s easy to connect. Talk to a BVA by calling 1-800-516-1268.
