Find the Right Hospital for You

We want to make it easier for you to choose a hospital that best meets your needs. That is why we've created the Blue Distinction® program, which identifies hospitals and medical facilities that meet high standards.
We've worked with doctors and medical organizations to come up with the selection criteria for Blue Distinction Centers, which include:

  • The number of times the hospital has performed the procedure
  • The expertise of its medical team
  • An acute care inpatient facility, including intensive care, emergency and specialty services
  • The hospital's procedure results

There Are Two Different Recognitions for Hospitals

  • Blue Distinction Centers
    Hospitals that have proven their ability to meet high standards of specialty care.
  • Blue Distinction Centers+
    Hospitals that are not only recognized for meeting high standards of care, but also for delivering cost-effective care.

Blue Distinction Centers Available Nationwide

Both Blue Distinction Centers and Blue Distinction Centers+ are available nationwide and focus on high-volume and high-risk areas of specialty care. See your Benefit Summary or call a Customer Advocate for more information about your coverage.

Individual outcomes may vary.
