Purchased through BCS Insurance Company, stop loss is an innovative reinsurance plan that helps protect your reserves against medical and prescription drug claims above a pre-defined dollar amount. Your choices include:

• Specific Stop Loss means protection for self-funded plans – per condition, per individual – based on a predetermined level up to a chosen maximum.
• Aggregate Stop Loss means protection for self-funded plans or claims in total, subject to maximum liability limits.
  • Self-funded large groups (more than 200 subscribers) have many options: attachment points between $100,000 and $1 million.
  • Self-funded small groups (51-199 subscribers) have many options: attachment points between $25,000 and $100,000.
