Video: What to Know About the Monkeypox Outbreak

Monkeypox was recently called a public health emergency by the state of Illinois and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

In this video interview, Dr. Derek Robinson answers some common questions about the outbreak, including how the virus spreads, availability of vaccines and what public health officials recommend for people who think they were exposed or have symptoms. Robinson is vice president and chief medical officer for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.
