When you enroll in a BCBSIL plan, you have access to a health advocate*. Health advocates serve as a personal assistant for your health care needs.

Starting Sept. 21, 2026, you can reach out to your health advocate to verify if your current providers are in-network, find in-network providers, and for general benefit questions.

Starting Dec. 15, 2026, you can reach out to your health advocate for questions on transition of current care.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, you can contact a health advocate to address your specific medical benefits questions.

Core Health Advocacy Solutions hours are 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. During that time, members have access to the full HAS support model, including our clinical team (available 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.).

From 6 p.m. - 7 a.m., coverage transitions to our extended hours team, equipped to support navigation, vendor education and resource guidance.
