You may be asked to submit documents to confirm your income information.
It's helpful to have a proof of your income handy, like a recent pay stub, tax return or W-2.
2. Update your information: Make sure your contact information is current. This will help make sure you do not miss important information from the Marketplace or BCBSIL.

What is Get Covered Illinois?
Get Covered Illinois is the new health insurance marketplace run by the state of Illinois. Illinois residents can use it to sign up for 2027 individual and family coverage and apply for financial help.
If you already have a plan from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois purchased directly or through an independent, authorized agent, you don’t need to change anything.

Stay On Track: Know Your Timeline
Nov. 1 - Open Enrollment starts. Your renewal packet is also mailed by this day with your 2027 plan details.
Nov 5-14 - Keep an eye on your email. We'll send you an email with your 2027 price details.
Dec. 31. - If you'd like to keep your current plan, pay your bill by this date to stay automatically enrolled, with coverage starting January 1st, 2027.
Jan. 15 - Open Enrollment ends. Get ready to start, and keep using your benefits.
