Starting in June: Monthly Virtual Provider Workshops

Posted May 24, 2019

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) Provider Relations area includes multiple Provider Network Consultants (PNCs). Our PNCs work in teams to support each demographic region statewide.

Each PNC team continues to serve as a liaison between BCBSIL and our independently contracted professional provider community. The PNCs are available to provide education on BCBSIL procedures, support provider contract compliance and work with each practice to help resolve any operational concerns. Our PNCs also specialize in investigating issues, producing data and developing solutions. This dedicated staff has a thorough knowledge of all BCBSIL products, programs and initiatives.

Upcoming Educational Opportunity

Beginning with our first session on June 12, 2019, we’ll be hosting monthly virtual provider workshops. These one-hour sessions will focus on key BCBSIL updates and initiatives. Register now for our first virtual provider workshop on June 12! Also visit the Webinars page for upcoming dates and online registration.

How to Contact Your PNC Team

You may contact your assigned PNC team by email. Each demographic region has an email address dedicated to that area. Inquiries are monitored on a daily basis and responses are sent within five business days. If you need help identifying your assigned PNC team, email ProviderRelations@bcbsil.com – be sure to include the provider name, National Provider Identifier (NPI), Tax ID, city and county.

When contacting your PNC team, it’s important to include all necessary information. For inquiries related to claims, include the call reference number or Claim Inquiry Resolution (CIR) Tracking ID. For inquiries related to credentialing, include the Tax ID, billing NPI, rendering provider name, rendering provider NPI, license number and Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH®) number.

Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to working with you!
