Attend Blue UniversitySM Follow-up Webinar February 15
Posted January 15, 2019
In 2018 Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) along with national and local thought leaders gathered at the Blue University events in Chicago to learn more about current health care trends, best practices and emerging challenges through expert speakers and collaborative learning.
Blue University is a free provider education program providing a platform to engage industry leaders in timely discussions that drive the current health care market.
In June, the keynote speaker, Suzanne E. Mitchell, M.D., MS, a board-certified palliative care and family physician, along with a panel of medical experts and BCBSIL personnel, shared their experiences and proven results on reducing readmission rates.
In October, three speakers discussed the behavioral health and clinical options for patients with opioid use disorder (OUD). Ideas included, how to identify patients with substance use disorder, behavioral considerations in managing chronic pain, and collaborative care integrating physical and behavioral health.
To continue the discussion, on Feb. 15, 2019, Suzanne Mitchell, will lead an interactive live webcast in conjunction with Merck, titled Practical Approaches to Coordinating Care Across the Delivery System. The webcast will include a question and answer session and touch on these three points:
- Provide an overview of care coordination challenges and opportunities.
- Explore a fictional case study of a patient and how care coordination may be managed.
- Explore the importance of patient activation for care coordination.
All are invited to attend this free webinar. Learn more and register now.
