IMPACT revalidation extended to August 31, 2016

Posted August 31, 2016

As posted on March 4, 2016, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) requires that all Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois contracted providers participating in Blue Cross Community MMAI (Medicare-Medicaid Plan)SM, Blue Cross Community ICPSM, or Integrated Care Plan, and Blue Cross Community Family Health PlanSM (FHP) to revalidate their provider information in the Illinois Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT) system. HFS has further extended the revalidation due date for Individual/Sole providers to Aug. 31, 2016.

Failure to submit a provider’s enrollment for revalidation and approval will result in disenrollment from Illinois Medicaid on Sept. 25, 2016. Therefore, prior to providing any future Medicaid services and submitting claims, the provider must re-enroll as a new provider into the program and retroactive enrollment requests will not be allowed.

More information on the IMPACT system plus frequently asked questions, webinars and other training guides are available on the IMPACT website.
