Join Us for a Claim Research Tool Webinar
Posted May 29, 2015
As we published in previous communications, effective Monday, July 13, 2015, claim status will no longer be available via the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) Interactive Voice Response (IVR) phone system. One alternative that is available to providers is the AvailityTM Claim Research Tool.
According to Availity, the Claim Research Tool offers fast, efficient and convenient online access to detailed claim status information, such as received date, processed date, adjudication outcomes and finalized dollar amounts. Claim status results are returned in a user friendly, printable format.
BCBSIL is hosting complimentary webinars in June and July to provide detailed demonstrations of the Claim Research Tool. The presentation will show you how to use this online tool to:
- ·Search by member ID/group number or claim number
- ·Check status of multiple claims in one view
- ·View claims for a particular date or date range
- ·View claims according to status, such as paid, pended or denied
The Claim Research Tool is available at no cost exclusively through the Availity Web Portal. Registration with Availity also gives you access to a variety of other online tools. You do not have to be registered with Availity to attend a Claim Research Tool webinar.
