Enrollment Period
If you are insured under your employer’s health insurance plan and would like to add qualified dependents to your coverage, enrollment must take place during the separate dependent enrollment period which is the 90-day period following your employer’s or company’s next renewal date.

For example, if your policy renews every year on January 1st, the initial enrollment period for your policy will begin on January 1, 2010 and end on March 30, 2010.

If you are an individual plan member, the renewal date for most individual policies begins on January 1st, 2010.

Group and individual plan members should call the customer service number on the back of their BCBSIL member ID card if they have questions about this enrollment period.
