Writing prescriptions has changed very little over the last 50 years, while improvements in other areas of the medical field are ongoing. E-prescribing is an efficient way to improve prescription accuracy and patient safety by allowing physicians to write and transmit directly from the point of care to the patient’s pharmacy of choice.
