Online Benefits May be Unavailable Due to Annual Policy Updates

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois is currently processing benefit changes for 2013. While policies are being updated, providers may be instructed to contact BCBSIL Provider Customer Service when conducting eligibility and benefit transactions.
Due to the large number of policy changes underway, BCBSIL may receive an influx of calls resulting in extended hold times. If your patient is in need of service immediately, please contact the provider customer service number provided within the transaction. For your convenience, please defer general eligibility and benefit calls until late February for patients who are not yet scheduled for an appointment.
