Medicare Crossover Assignment Indicator Issue

A system issue was encountered in mid December in which the "provider accept assignment indicator" was not processed correctly for Medicare Crossover claims. Claims received that had an "N" populated in the "Accept Assignment Field" resulted in payments being made to the provider when the payment should have gone to the member. This system issue was corrected in February and reports of the impacted claims have been created and are currently under review.
