BlueChoice Tiering
BlueChoice participating physicians are reimbursed based on a two tier (White & Blue) reimbursement system that measures clinical quality indicators and cost efficiency. Most providers are assigned to the White tier, while those with high performance for quality and cost indicators are assigned to the Blue tier.
BlueChoice providers are evaluated relative to their overall performance within their peer group. Both quality and cost scores are placed in rank order within each peer group and the percentile is reported.
