eCards for HealthSM wins 2011 National Health Literacy Innovators Award
eCards for Health, the popular online website where you can commit to a healthy lifestyle change and let friends and family know by sending them a free eCard, recently received national recognition. The eCards program won the 2011 National Health Literacy Innovators Award in the "Clear Focus Multi-Media" category.
The award is presented by Health Literacy Innovations (HLI), creators of the Health Literacy Advisor which is the nation's first interactive health literacy software tool. Health literacy refers to a person's ability to obtain and understand health information in order to make informed choices about their well-being.
The HLA award contest is a national competition recognizing innovators in health literacy. The "Clear Focus Multi-Media" award category focuses on entrants' commitment to excellence in health literacy in a website or other communication form, based on usability, design, and reaching a targeted audience.
