			The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan has provided federal employees with value-enhanced coverage for more than 40 years. Choosing the coverage that best meets the health care needs of you and your family is important to us. That's why for 2009 we are offering Standard Option coverage and a Basic Option.
Standard Option coverage: Gives you the freedom to select providers Offers benefits for covered services performed by both Preferred and Non-preferred providers Lessens your out-of-pocket expenses -- coinsurance and copayments -- when you use Preferred provider.
Basic Option coverage: Offers a lower premium than Standard Option Gives comprehensive coverage with no deductibles & no referrals Requires that you use Preferred providers, except in emergency situations
