PPO Benefits Description
The Preferred Provider Option (PPO) is a group of doctors, hospitals and other health care professionals who agree to participate in Blue Cross and Blue Shield's PPO networks. With the PPO option you do not have to select a personal doctor to provide or coordinate your care.
In-Network Care
When you enroll in the PPO plan, you can visit any PPO contracting doctor and hospital and receive in-network benefits.
Out-of-Network Care
You may visit any doctor, hospital or ancillary provider outside of the PPO network, but when you do, your out-of-network benefits will be lower and you will have to meet an out-of-network benefit plan year deductible.
