Tools for Employers

The following online tools are available for your employees.

Provider Finder^® — You can determine which contracting physicians, hospitals and other health care providers are available to your employees in the areas they live, and whether they are accepting new patients.

Blue Access for Members^SM — Your employees can use these online tools for confidential access to their health care claim information. Members can also confirm who is covered under their plan, compare hospital quality data and view extensive health and wellness information.

Zagat Health Survey — Available via Blue Access for Members and the Provider Finder^®, this innovative online survey lets your employees share feedback about their physician experiences with other members. For each network physician, the Zagat survey will display contact information, ratings on a 30-point scale for each of the four categories, and the percentage of members who recommend that physician.

Personal Health Manager*  — Encourage your employees to better manage their health through the use of these online tools and resources. Members can complete a health risk assessment; set up a personal health record; receive targeted wellness information and set up reminders about medical appointments and prescription refills. Also, with Ask A Nurse, members can ask registered nurses health-related questions online, request fitness and exercise advice with Ask A Trainer; ask registered dietitians for nutrition advice with Ask A Dietitian and receive help on managing stress, workplace conflicts and other issues with Ask A Life Coach.

Prescription Drug Members — Prescription drugs are an important part of your organization's health care coverage.
