When a member sees a contracting dentist in the network, they receive all the advantages their plan offers and the highest available level of benefits. It's important that members present their ID card each time they receive care so the dentist can verify benefits.

If a member's current dentist does not contract in the BlueCare Dental network, they can continue to receive care from that dentist, but the level of benefits will be lower. Members can also nominate a dentist to join the BlueCare Dental PPO network by visiting www.bcbsil.com and completing the Provider Nomination Form.

Changing Dentists
Members may visit a different dentist every time they receive care. To obtain the highest level of benefits, a member must visit a contracting dentist. Members are encouraged to confirm the dentist is part of the BlueCare Dental PPO network when making an appointment.
