Asian Health Coalition Recognizes Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois for Outstanding Corporate Leadership
The Asian Health Coalition of Illinois (AHCI) recently announced that it will present its Corporate Leadership award to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) for outstanding efforts to promote health and wellness and for its support of AHCI.
"AHCI's outreach programs are very closely aligned with our own goals to make a difference in the community and to help people be healthy and well," said BCBSIL President Paul Boulis. "They are making real strides to improve health care standards for Asians statewide, and we are happy to partner with them."
BCBSIL funds hundreds of nonprofit organizations annually that provide services to the uninsured and underserved.
Said Boulis: "We take our role in the community very seriously - it is at the core of our business and this award is truly an honor."
Boulis will accept the award April 2, during an AHCI fundraising event at Patterino's, 150 N. Dearborn.
